Nina Dobrev Says Kellan Lutz 'Blows It Out Of The Park' In 'The Killing Game'

There are plenty of reasons to be jealous of Nina Dobrev. Not only is she on one of the best shows around (ahem, "Vampire Diaries") but she also gets to spend her days and nights working alongside hotties Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. And now, we can add one more point of envy to the list.
Nina is starring alongside none other than Kellan Lutz (a guy who knows a thing or two about vampires...) in "The Killing Game," and she has nothing but great things to say about her new co-star.
"'The Killing Game' is an indie action film that Kellan stars in, and he blows it out of the park," Nina told Hollywood Crush. "It’s his movie and he kicks ass in it."
"The Killing Game" (not to be confused with "The Hunger Games"—although the plots share a few similarities) is an "action-thriller" (as described by Nina) that centers around a world in which men are matched up in gladiator-style battles for the entertainment of online viewers. Nina plays the role of Kellan's wife (are you jealous yet, Ian and Paul?).
"I have a small but important part in the film," she said. While Nina didn't elaborate much on her role, she couldn't stop gushing about Kellan's.
"Kellan does a really good job because as much as we’ve seen him in 'Twilight' and other movies, this role is really all about him and he really delivers, and I think people are going to be really pleasantly surprised and excited to see him taking on such a big role."
Kellan isn't just Nina's co-star though—they're also friends. In fact, they met each other way before they started filming.
"We’ve known each other for a little while now," she said. "All the vampire shows all kind of ended up at the same functions and the same events, and so we all kind of know each other."
While there is no official release date for the film yet, we're certainly excited for it. After all, this is one of the first times since "The Vampire Diaries" that we'll get to see Nina step out of Elena and Katherine's shoes and into something completely new, and while we'll miss Ian and Paul (we really do love those boys), we're looking forward to her chemistry with Kellan.
What do you think about Nina and Kellan pairing up for "The Killing Game"?

'Vampire Diaries' star: 'No-one is safe'

Bonnie Bennett in The Vampire Diaries

Katerina Graham has teased that none of the characters on The Vampire Diaries is safe.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Graham revealed that viewers will be surprised about what happens on the show.

"I think no-one's safe at this point," she said. "That's why it's so important to watch the show because you're going to be completely taken by surprise. Completely.

"Every character is going to surprise you. There's not one character on this show that doesn't get a curveball. So no-one is safe. Not one person. Not I, not Elena, not anyone. No-one is safe at this point. You're going to be really shocked."

Graham also revealed that the show will feature an "amazing" scene between Bonnie and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) in an upcoming episode.

"It'll get everyone talking," she teased. "It's just a can't-miss moment. It definitely has to deal with a great part of Bonnie's decision on what she's going to do... it's an incredible moment on the show."

Graham has already confirmed that a series regular will die before the end of the season.

The Vampire Diaries returns for a new episode tonight at 8/7 on The CW in the US and on Tuesday at 9pm on ITV2 in the UK.

'Vampire Diaries' Spoilers: Dawn Olivieri Teases Andie and Damon Storyline

Vampire Diaries fans still have a wait ahead of them, but another one of the stars is giving fans just a bit of information to hold them over to the April 7 return date for the CW series. Dawn Olivieri plays the latest woman in the life of Damon Salvatore, played by Ian Somerhalder. He once again has a woman under his spell, and fans remember just how badly that went during season one. Anyone remember Vicki?
Olivieri had the following to say about an upcoming episode and her storyline, according to Digital Spy: "In season one, he was compelling Vicki and it became disastrous. He may have entered this situation thinking it could be a similar case, but it's turning out much differently for Damon, which has been an interesting turn. He's not just able to shrug her off like he thought he could. I can't wait for you guys to see episode 19 - there's a lot of Andie and Damon in that one. Some big things go down."
Damon has had a lot of change this season. His story line has been a bit of a roller coaster. At first, it looked like Andie was someone to keep him company, so he wouldn't be alone after he had to kill off Rose. He is fighting a battle with himself. The good and the bad sides are battling it out, and sometimes one side wins out. He has his focus on keeping Elena safe at any costs. It must suck for him being in love with his brother's girlfriend, but it all just adds to the plot.
What do you think? Are you excited to see more from Andie and Damon in future episodes of theVampire Diaries?

Time Names 140 Best Twitter Feeds: Add These 5 To The List!

We here at Hollywood Crush spend a lot of time on Twitter (it's sort of tough to stay away when the likes of Ryan GoslingJames Francoand Joseph Gordon-Levitt are hanging around on the Twitterverse!). So when Time magazine put out their list of the 140 Best Twitter feeds, we couldn't wait to see which celebrity tweeters we know, love and follow made the cut.
While we were psyched to see some of our favorites like Taylor SwiftNeil Patrick Harris,Justin BieberLady GagaConan O'Brien,Mindy KalingJimmy Fallon and Ellen DeGeneres, we couldn't help but notice some glaring omissions.
Check out five of our favorite tweeters who were inexplicably left off the list after the jump!
Chris Colfer (@chriscolfer): Who doesn't have a special place in their heart for Chris Colfer? Not only has the "Glee" star handled some heavy story lines on the show with grace, humor and depth, but he's just as mature and entertaining in real life (not always a combo that goes hand-in-hand!). We always look forward to when Chris posts, from his humble post-Golden Globe win ("I can't believe it. I'm not sure how much my shaky hands can tweet, but thank you so much! Couldn't do what I do without you guys!") to his hilarious musings ("I'm going to start my 'own' network too. CCC: The Chris Colfer Channel. It'll mostly consist of space documentaries and alpaca contests") he's definitely one of our top tweeters.
Diablo Cody (@diablocody): While writing a hilarious and heartfelt Oscar-winning screenplay like "Juno" is no small feat, we're continually impressed by how much funny Diablo Cody can fit in a single tweet. Though you might be thrown when you see the name Brook Busey (Diablo is her pen name), you'll know you're at the right place when you read clever tweets like, "What if Kate Middleton is actually a cunning sea witch who's stolen the voice of Prince William's true love?" and "I love people that go to gossip sites and type "WHO CARES?" in the comments. You do, you little cutie!"
Ian Somerhalder (@iansomerhalder): As Damon Salvatore, Ian Somerhalder has a bit of a bad streak on "The Vampire Diaries," but in real life, the handsome actor-activist only uses his power for good, especially on Twitter. In addition to answering followers' questions and reporting from the "TVD" set ("TVD is wrapped for weekend! To all the awesome ladies I just met-sorry to be so rushed.Production needed me off the clock and Damon's clothes"), Ian often uses his page as a forum for information on causes, including the one nearest and dearest to his heart, the environment (we also follow his Ian Somerhalder Foundation on Twitter!).
Jamie Campbell Bower (@jamiebower): We wish we could put this in less simple terms than this, but Jamie Campbell Bower makes us giggle. Yes, we're always excited when he shares things from the set of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and "Breaking Dawn" ("http://twitpic.com/3y1qau") but we really look forward to when JCB lets his silly side show. From his poems ("Fillings done. Mouth numb. Pizza fun. Touch my bum?") to his over-sharing with followers ("Literally about to wee myself with excitement for new Strokes single"), he's one of the funniest, friendliest celebrity tweeters out there.
Pink (@pink): Let's face it, Pink is one of the most badass chicks out there (and a pregnant, one at that!). So it's of no surprise that the singer, who always rocks our world, rocks the Twitterverse too. Whether she's referring to herself as "fat mama," gabbing with her hubby Carey Hart ("Aww you're so cute. I like you so much", she tweeted to him), or calling out the entertainment industry ("Out of Myself, Britney, and Christina- didn't everyone think I was gonna be the troublemaker? LOOK MA!!! No CUFFS!!!"), Pink is one character who is really good at sharing 140 of them.
Crushers, which celebrity tweeter do you think should have made Time's list? Let us know in the comments section below and, obviously, on Twitter!

Sneak Peek: The Vampire Diaries “Klaus”

At long last Thirsty Thursday has finally arrived and we are beyond ready to kick off our night with an all new episode of The Vampire Diaries!! (I swear my fingers are jumping out of excitement as I type this!)
The new images that are being released by the network are for the episode entitled, Klaus which will air on April 21st.
Here is the official episode description from The CW:
KLAUS (GUEST STAR JOSEPH MORGAN, “ BEN HUR”) IS REVEALED — Stefan ( Paul Wesley) and Damon ( Ian Somerhalder) are furious when they discover that Elena ( Nina Dobrev ) has defied them both to make a new ally and take control of the plan to out-maneuver Klaus (Morgan). Disagreement over how to protect Elena leads to growing tension between the Salvatore brothers.
Meanwhile, Stefan has his hands full trying to keep a confused and frightened Jenna (Sara Canning) safe. Flashbacks to 1491 reveal Katherine’s ( Nina Dobrev ) introduction to Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus, along with the origin of the moonstone curse. Elena learns shocking new information about Klaus’ motives. Matt Davis also stars. Joshua Butler directed the episode written by Kevin Williamson & Julie Plec (#219).

‘Vampire Diaries’ Returns Tonight! Watch A Preview Clip & Vote: Who Will Die Next?

‘Vampire Diaries’ fans, your weeks of torture are finally coming to an end!

The Mystic Falls gang returns TONIGHT with six all-new episodes of The Vampire Diaries, and we’ve got an early look at the April 7 installment, “Know Thy Enemy.”
In the clip, a crafty Katherine (Nina Dobrev) pledges her alliance to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the ongoing battle to kill Klaus(Joseph Morgan) and keep Elena alive.
But can she be trusted?

The Vampire Diaries: Look for Joseph Morgan's Debut as Klaus on April 21st

The current break in airings of "The Vampire Diaries" will be over on April 7th, and then fans of the series will have just a two-week wait before seeing how well Joseph Morgan fares in the role of original vampire Klaus. If his co-star Ian Somerhalder is correct, we can expect him to be "magnificent".
Joseph Morgan is Klaus in The Vampire Diaries@IanSomerhalder tweeted tonight: At dinner with Julie Plec, Paul Sommers(TVD director of photography),Elena, Stefan,Elijah, and Klaus. This got us a little curious as to when exactly Klaus might be making his debut, and thanks to EW.com the date of April 21st has been confirmed.
Per EW, Morgan’s casting is in line with what exec producers have teased all along. Exec producer Kevin Williamson [said] the role would go to someone younger. “It has to be someone that we truly believe was in a relationship with Katherine because that’s where it started. He seduced her and whisked her away,” he said.
And exec producer Julie Plec, who revealed back in December that a couple hundred actors had already read for the role, told us they liked the idea of choosing a relative unknown. “That’s what excites me: This idea that there might be somebody out there that no one’s really familiar with yet that can be a new fresh face that we can exploit…in all the good ways,” she said. “The big important elements of this character are charisma and gravitas. You’ve got to be able to be afraid of this guy, whether you’re afraid of him because he looks scary or because he’s so charming that the fact that he can snap your neck with his pinky would take you by surprise.”
It was in a recent interview with Examiner.com that Somerhalder praised Morgan, whose credits include "Hex", TV mini-series "Ben Hur", and the upcoming Immortals, as "a magnificent guy [whose] acting abilities are way up there." When asked about how the characters in the show are taking the arrival of the epic vampire, he said, "I think everyone's on their toes now because he's a bad-ass."
Look for a synopsis of the April 21st episode soon, and for more visit the official "The Vampire Diaries" website.

Flecking Awards: Ian Somerhalder is Best TV Actor

And the award for Best TV Actor goes to… Ian Somerhalder.
Ian is currently starring in The Vampire Diaries, playing sexy vampire Damon Salvatore, but to us he’ll always be hot Boone from Lost.
He was up against Joshua Jackson (Fringe), Chris Colfer (Glee), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Matthew Fox (Lost), Stephen Moyer (True Blood), Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men), Jensen Ackles (Supernatural), Hugh Laurie (House), Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl) and Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl).
The Vampire Diaries also picked up the award for Best TV Show.
Ian was beat to the Sexiest Vampire award by Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.
Congrats Ian.

The Vampire Diaries Set Visit: A Report

Yesterday, I had the amazing opportunity to spend a day on the set of The Vampire Diaries in Atlanta. I saw some great things, met amazing people and got some awesome new information from the cast.
Yes, that's
Gabrielle Compolongo with Ian Somerhalder below. This is how the day went...

I arrived on set around 10 a.m. and saw a glimpse of where the Mystic Falls High School outdoor scenes are shot. I was taken on a quick tour before setting up my interview location, which was Caroline's porch. We were given time to walk around the studio and check out some sets (pictures to come in the days ahead).

I was very impressed by the Lockwood dungeon set, as it looks like it is literally under the ground, with real chains and an iron door. It’s always cool to see what it actually looks like when you watch a show that boasts such great homes and locations. Caroline’s house was a blast to hang out in all day, as well. It looks exactly like an actual residence inside, and her bed is actually incredibly comfortable.
Her bedroom is set up with everything you see on TV, but it’s all real. Someone could move in tomorrow! Another thing I want to point out is the positive and relaxed energy everyone on the set maintains. The cast makes you feel more like a member for the day, rather than an outsider.
Coincidentally, Candice Accola strolled in while her character's house was being raided. Candice spent time on set after her interview was finished just to watch and be friendly. She is extremely sweet, and was happy to tell me where the cool sets were while we hung out in her character's hallway.
My first interview was with Katerina Graham. She is 5’4”, but appears much shorter in person. Katerina was very kind and spoke to me about Bonnie and Jeremy’s relationship, what Dr. Martin gave to her, and also about the chances of her cousin returning to town.
Next up was Sara Canning and Matthew Davis. I put these two together because they were constantly interacting with each other during their interviews. You can most definitely tell that they are the best of friends, and have amazing chemistry. Matt is a riot. He just loves to goof around and play with people; I can tell he’s probably the trouble maker/prankster on set. He actually decided to crash an interview or two of mine, but he definitely kept the mood light and friendly.
I spoke to Candice after Matt, and she was really a sweet, fun girl. We talked about the nicknames Damon gives her as a vampire, Matt, Tyler, and much more.
Steven R. McQueen was easily the most laid back of the bunch. We talked about whether or not Jeremy is still interested in entering vampiredom, how he’s grown as a person, and how he will be involved in the sacrifice ritual. Steven was in the middle of giving a set tour to a few people, and I can only imagine the laughs they had on their way.

After Steven, we broke for lunch around 4 p.m. Some of the cast actually joined the crew in the lunch area, so that was great to see.
After lunch, I got to sit down and chat with Paul Wesley, who had me laughing when I asked him about his Twitter account. Return to TV Fanatic to watch the video of Paul professing his newfound love with Tweeting. We also spoke about Stefan’s vervain tolerance, whether or not Stefan would change Elena, his tattoo (which is actually his), and which clips he hopes make it into the blooper reel.
Nina Dobrev had to be pulled away for scenes a few times, but finally made it to interview. Though she had a long day (and my interview wasn’t the end of it), she was in great spirits. We spoke about her emotional exhaustion of playing both characters, the similarities between Katherine and Elena, and also Isobel. I have to say, it was a bit eerie speaking to Nina in person, as I watch her every week playing two different characters (which she does brilliantly.)
They saved the best for last, as Ian Somerhalder closed out the interviews. He is actually more handsome in person than he is on television, which one would think would be physically impossible. Ian is so extremely thought out in his process of answering interview questions, and you can tell he has a deep sense of responsibility to the show, caring about his character and the rest of the cast very much.
Ian and I spoke about the lengths his character is willing to go to in order to keep Elena safe, developing two different types of chemistry with Nina, and whether or not he would change someone into a vampire in order to help take down Klaus. Ian was also game for taking some photos with me, including one of us slow dancing. Both Ian and Paul were wearing their vampire daylight rings; awesome to see in person.
To end the long day of a total of 10 hours on set, we wrapped up around 8 p.m. All in all, this cast and crew seem like the most down to earth people you’d want to be around. None of the cast members are arrogant, and even though some of the actors were interviewing between shooting, they were courteous and great sports. This was definitely an experience I will never forget, and I have a new appreciation for the work our favorite actors do while remaining grounded and humble.
I can’t wait for you all to see the videos! They'll be posted over the coming days and weeks

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's Titillating Tryst In Tarzana Is Exposed

TARZANA, California - Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, the stars of The Vampire Diaries, are fast becoming the most popular couple since Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora, up until Sambora started acting like he was the illegitimate son of Mick Jagger and began boinking every legal female in sight.

Back in early February Nina and Ian were spotted passionately nuzzling below the Santa Monica Pier.

Then a week later they started racking up their 'frequent flyer' miles as the happy couple flew down to the "Big Easy" (New Orleans) and checked into the world famous exquisitely romantic Hotel Ooh La La, where it is said that female screams of passionate ectasy can be heard throughout the hotel literally 24 hours a day.

After spending Valentine's Day in Paris, France, Dobrev and Somerhalder flew to San Antonio, Texas to visit the world famous Alamo, which is more famous than even The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.

Nina remarked that the old Spanish mission which had been converted into a fort back in 1836 looked extremely old and really could have used a few coats of paint.

She also wondered why the rock floor had not been carpeted.

While visiting the Alamo Nina and Ian got a little bit carried away behind the Alamo's 175-year-old water well and the two decided to get a little frisky and proceeded to vavavoom thinking no one would notice.

But they were spotted by a security guard who was going to charge them with indecent exposure but it turned out that The Vampire Diaries just happened to be the favorite show of the security guards two teenage daughters and some sort of 'deal' involving autographs, money, and two Vampire DairiesT-shirts was worked out.

And now, comes word out of Tarzana that Dobrev and Somerhalder were scene by a reporter forBedroom Pillow Talk engaged in what could best be described as a titillating tryst in the old abandoned Jane Fonda Health Spa Building in downtown Tarzana.

The Vampires Diaries has just been named the number one show in Costa Rica, Norway, and Milwaukee.

Nina Dobrev: 'Damon struggles with dark side'

© Rex Features / BDG
Nina Dobrev has revealed that Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries will always struggle to be a good man.

Dobrev spoke to Zap2it about the CW series, stating that she believes that Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, has trouble being a good guy because he never receives any reward in return for his reformed lifestyle.

"When we first started the show, Damon was this crazy maniacal killer, and he was basically a ticking time bomb," said Dobrev. "Then he started to somewhat redeem himself, almost for Elena, and he kept doing all these great things, but he wasn't really getting rewarded for it. To his defence, why be good if nothing ever comes of it?"

Dobrev continued: "He never gets rewarded for his good deeds, so he's kind of going back to his selfish state as well," referencing Damon's use of compulsion on his girlfriend Andie Starr.

Vampire Diaries producer Julie Plec recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the final episodes of the second season, stating that Damon's compulsion of Andie will come back to haunt him in the near future.

"We won't hit that for a few more episodes, but there will be that moment when Damon's desire to distract himself from his feelings for Elena blow up in his face, and the allure of Andie starts to leave a bit of a sour taste," said Plec.

Somerhalder recently revealed that he is excited for the season's final episodes, particularly the encounter with the long-awaited vampire Klaus, to be played by British actor Joseph Morgan.

Pics: Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Have 'Last Dance' in 'Vampire Diaries

More stills from the 'Last Dance' episode of 'Vampire Diaries' have been released, featuring Damon dance closely with Elena and also with Bonnie at the '60s Decade Dance'.
The CW has released more stills of the new episode of "The Vampire Diaries". Some images taken from "The Last Dance" episode have already been posted several weeks ago, and now the network is launching new pictures from the same episode. These new stills are mostly taken from the "60s Decade Dance" that will take place on the "Last Dance" episode in less than two weeks.

The newly released stills are featuring 's Damon Salvatore, 's Elena Gilbert, 's Stefan Salvatore, 's Bonnie Bennett, Steven R. McQueen's Jeremy Gilbert, Zach Roerig's Matt Denovan, and also 's Caroline Forbes. They were dancing in pairs on the dance floor.

Some pictures feature Damon dancing with Bonnie. Another photo shows Damon and Elena dance together. Damon seems to perform some funky moves while Elena stands beside him watching in an irritated glance.

But the most eye-catching picture is the one which shows Damon and Elena dancing closely to one another. They were gazing yearningly to each other and looking happy, not like in any other occasions where they were usually bickering about something. This could be a sign for their developing relationship in the series.

Beside Damon and Elena, pictures of Bonnie and Jeremy also steal attention. The couple are dancing romantically. Also, there is a picture showing Caroline and Matt as a dancing pair. There are also a few photos of Matt Davis' Alaric as a dance chaperone and Marguerite MacIntyre's Sheriff Forbes as she talks to Caroline at home before she left for the dance.

"The Last Dance" episode will be aired on April 14. The episode will underscore Elena who receives disturbing messages from Klaus via unusual source. It will also feature Bonnie who tries to reassure Jeremy that she is strong enough to help Elena, but Jeremy decides to ask Stefan for advice about it. While Damon and Alaric attend the dance as chaperones, hoping that Klaus would show up. But Klaus is playing a complicated game that keeps them curios. Finally, Damon comes up with a new plan of action that surprises, yet upsets, everyone.

Ian Somerhalder Admits He Has A Girlfriend & Bites Kelly Ripa’s Neck! Watch!

rtmp://streaming.hollywoodlife.com/ondemand/video/040611_ian_somerhalder.flv

Ian looked absolutely gorgeous on ‘Live With Regis and Kelly’ but here’s the bad news: He admits he’s got a lady in his life!

Ian Somerhalder is off the market — well sort of. The 32-year-old star of CW’s hit series Vampire Diaries chatted with Regis and Kelly on April 6 and had us at the edge of her seats when Regis asked him what we are all dying to know … “Do you have a girlfriend?”
“Yes,” he answered coyly. “It’s called Vampire Diaries and she’s very demanding.”
Phew — so there’s still a chance for us! But obviously we were also kind of hoping he’d say he was dating his beautiful co-star Nina Dobrev. Of course, Ian was awfully flirty with Kelly, a married mom-of-two. Ian kissed her hand three times and even tried to bite her neck when he first walked in!
The Louisana native talked about his double life days as gardener in the US and a model in Italy.
“I would literally get off the plane from working crazy gigs in leather pants and sunglassesand then go cut grass,” he says. “It taught me what hard work really is about.”
Could Ian sounds anymore perfect?

Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Fun Fearless males

On March 7th, some hot gents stepped out for Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Fun Fearless Males of 2011 event in New York City. In attendance was Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder, sporting his trademark bed-head look and unbuttoned shirt.
It’s hard to believe that Ian is 32-years-old! He tweeted earlier in the evening, “Going to hang with Cosmo Mag peeps and a bunch of hot actor dudes- ladies eat your heart out… Cosmo thanks for the trip to NY!”
